I don’t always check my emails daily (eM Client) and lately when I do the current day downloads, but previous days of emails are missing…it’s been happening inconsistently, some days ok, other days some are missing…where are they?? Is there anything I can do to find them? TIA…

Sorry to see you have a problem.
How do you know mail is missing?
I presume your set up is POP3.
Although you don’t say who your email account is with, are you able to check on the
mail server to see what is actually there?
For instance by logging into your account on line via a browser to check that there is
mail there that hasn’t been delivered to your local email client.
If you are able to log into your account this way, whilst you are there check the set up.
Get back once you have checked and need more help.

Are you sure you haven’t deleted these emails by accessing your mail another way? eg. via another mail client or via a browser. If you’ve deleted mail that way, it gets reflected in your eMC folders.
Or
Are they being archived - check the archive folder (or All mail for GMail)
check: settings/mail/automatic archiving
