Missing email in inbox (and not in spam or junk)

Bought a license for v10 but a problem: missing emails. In other mailclients the are visible and not read. In em Client the green unread counter is 2 but there are no unread messages. Not is spam, not in junk… nowhere. In three other email clients the mails are visible in the postbox (iPhone and laptop).

And: trial version v9 no problems and I upgraded this one to v10.

Not happy.

If you enabled Categories when you upgraded to 10, did you look in the other Inbox Category tabs?

Solved thanks; disabled all categories.

Maybe it’s due category tabs? There’s “primary” and “other” but by default there’s no “all”.

Yeah, the All tab is not selected by default. You can change that in Settings.

I think in v10 it is different; Settings, Mail, Categories…look like this (in Dutch).

It’s the same on the Mac as on the PC. Well, the alignment is a little different.

You just haven’t selected custom categories.

Actually it seems there’s a bug related to “categories” tab - if categories are displayed, “show number of total messages” and “show number of unread messages” seems not to work no matter ticked or not. It works only when “show categories” is unmarked. Anyone can confirm?

It’s recent not total.

In this example:

On the Primary tab, number of recent messages. There may be more unread messages, but only 1 new message since I was last in the folder.

On the Other tab, number of unread messages.

This setting:

If you disable Categories, then you get unread/total.
