Hi. I have been using a Windows Live Mail (WLM) POP3 account for the last 15 years or so. I’m upgrading to a newer computer and would like to use eM Client. I’m trying to figure out the best procedure to transfer my many email folders with all the metadata intact. So far I’ve used WLM’s export feature to move all my email folders to one storage folder on my old computer. I’m planning on moving this folder to my new computer via flashdrive. My question is, once I get the folder on the new computer, how do I get all my emails into a eM Client folder system that exactly mirrors what I had in WLM? If I create all the same folders in eM Client (let’s say for simplicity, Folders 1-10), will the import process just automatically drop all my emails from old Folder 1 to eM Client Folder 1, old Folder 2 to eM Client Folder 2, etc? Thanks for any help on this!

eM Client has a Windows Live Mail importer built in where you can select the entire account or specific folders when you import via “Menu / File / Import” and choose WLM.
See the following online documentation.
“Import from Windows Live Mail”
Thank you for the link. I read through the documentation, but it doesn’t really address the specific question I was asking - i.e. how to get eM Client to set up a folder system that exactly matches my old system and correctly import all the emails and metadata from the old folders into the new ones. Note: I cannot do a “whole account” transfer as I do not have Windows Live Mail on my new computer. As mentioned in my OP, I have copied all the email folders from my old computer and will be transferring them to my new computer. In this situation, would I need to create and name new folders in eM Client that exactly match my old folders before the import procedure? Or will eM Client create all these new folders automatically as it’s importing them? Again, for simplicity, if my OLD folders are named 1-10, how do I get eM Client to create NEW folders 1-10 and correctly import all the emails/metadata from OLD folders 1-10 into NEW folders 1-10? Thanks again for any help you can provide with this!
Sorry I carnt help you further but others on this forum might be able to assist you who had WLM
