Microsoft account needed

I downloaded and installed em-client for Android on my tablet.
Setting it up, I was asked to sign up withe a Microsoft account, which I don’t want.
For now I only want to sync withe my gmail account.
On the Internet I found that this isn’t needed, but I can get past the question for a Microsoft account.
How to overcome this problem?

eM Client app doesn’t ask to automatically setup a Microsoft account.

So sounds like something else is popping up or intercepting the mobile app.

Can you “screenshot the steps” after you open the eM Client app up to where you get asked to enter a Microsoft account and paste it in this thread.
