Message in Inbox incorrectly changes from unread to read

Deleting a message in the Inbox, whether it shows as read or unread, causes the message immediately below it in the Inbox to change from the unread status to the read status. Deleting a message has no effect on the following message if the following message is already in the read status. This problem makes cleaning out the Inbox of unwanted messages more difficult. Any suggestions on how to remedy this situation would be appreciated

I am sure this was fixed ages ago.

What version of eM Client are you using? (Menu > Help > About)

Thanks for reply. Not sure about the version number but I just checked if any updates were available and the answer was none available. Any advice or help would be REALLY appreciated.

Just saw how to get version #. It is 9.2.1577

  1. Close and uninstall eM Client, making sure NOT to delete the database folder when asked. That will ensure all your data and settings are there later.

  2. If it exists, delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client folder.

  3. Download and install the latest version from here: https://www.emclient.com/dist/latest/setup.msi

  4. Restart eM Client.

Just did everything you listed in your message. New version has the same problem. Any thoughts or ideas?
