Mass deletion of emails

I’ve used eMclient for years, love it! Does anyone know if you can delete multiple messages at the same time? I’ve been offline for two weeks and now have 2456 emails that I want to dump as a group. Any way to do this without dumping my entire inbox?

To select multiple emails in a group together, “click the 1st email” and then “hold down the Shift key” and then while holding the Shift key “click the last email that you want to delete”. That will then select that group of emails. Then click delete.

Or if you want to select specific emails to delete, then “click the 1st email” and then “hold down either the Ctrl or Command key” (depending on your keyboard setup) and then while holding, click the emails that you want to delete. If you then accidentally selected an email and don’t want it selected, just click the same email again which will deselect it. Then click delete.

Also, if there may be a number of E-mails you can predict you want to delete, such as from the same sender, you can speed things up by doing a search for the specific details (sender, keyword, date range, or whatever).

After that, you can: directly delete, tag the messages if you might want to manually inspect the results later, create a search folder from the setup if you might want to separate messages in future based on these criteria, or you create a rule.

There’s different ways of doing things and then it is a case of doing what works best for you! :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for the suggestions. I hadn’t thought about your ‘search’ idea, so I’ll try it.
