Mark as read when in trash folder

Is there any way of creating a rule that marks every message in the trash folder as readed? I find this very useful in 2 scenarios:

  1. Deleting a message from within the notification popup moves it to trash but keeps it as unreaded. 
  2. In my setup I use the imap mailbox also with several android clients. And there it’s the exact same behavior: Deleting a message from the notification screen moves the message to trash but keeps it unreaded.
