I need to set up eM Client to fetch mail from Gmail using IMAP, while using a custom SMTP server for outgoing mail.
This can olny be achieved by using the “Other” option during the account setup wizard.
The thing is that in that mode the wizard won’t trigger the Oauth authorization screen and Gmail has long since dropped the “less secure apps” and the option to log in with only user name and password.
Is there a way to use Oauth while in the “Other” type of account setup?
No you cannot currently specify a custom Gmail SMTP Server with OAuth.
There is however a current Sleekplan suggestion to vote for that idea,

That’s a bit disappointing.
The Sleekplan description mirrors my situation exactly. We store mail in Gmail, but send through our own domain, mainly because of DMARC.
I’ll add my own vote to that, but it seems to be getting very little traction.
