cannot set up my account on new pc - auto setup only asks for my email address then doesn’t recognise it

well actually yes there is another issue! My old version of emclient on my laptop has a junk folder with a right click option to empty it. The latest one I just installed has a folder called spam with no right click option to empty it. Is this correct? If so how do I delete the entire contents short of highlighting all, or how can I set up a junk folder? Thanks
What mail service are you using with eM Client? Is it possible there’s another junk folder listed that includes the option below your account?
it is a private mail server, but exactly the same as on my laptop. there is a junk folder but the junk isn’t going into it - it is going into this “spam” folder - I have tried moving the spam folder into the junk folder but it sets up a new spam folder back in the original place!
Hello Chris, you can select the default folder for junk in your account settings, just navigate to Tools > Accounts > Your account > IMAP, and select which “Default folders” you want to be using. However note that this can occasionally be caused by use of multiple email clients, where some can not detect the Junk folder’s name from the folder synchronization, and create automatically their own default folder.
