Since a few weeks eM-Client (9.0.1708) behaves weirdly.
When i send out an email no email is send. Only when I send out the next mail the previous email is send. Obviously this behavior is super annoying. I have the free version, so I can’t ask eM Client developers for support. So unless anyone from the community has a solution, I will deinstall eM Client and look for alternative mailing software.

this fix is not available in the current 9.1.2082.0 yet, but will be in the next update.
As a workaround for now you can either disable ‘Undo send’ in Menu>Settings>Mail>Send or make sure the affected account is included in the automatic send/receive in Menu>Accounts (at the bottom of the General tab).
These workarounds will make sending work correctly in the meantime.
