My mail goes to a local folder versus to my name. I don’t know how it got that way, but I want to change it. Is there a setting that I can designate for mail to go to? It is weird because the TO is a rarely used folder & name. My mail is comcast.net
Thank you in advance.
Sounds like you might have a rule setup either in eM Client or In your mailbox online to automatically move incoming mail to a folder.
Click “Menu / Rules” (Pc) or “Menu / Tools / Rules” (Mac). Then dblclick the rules in there to see what’s inside them. You can also eg: uncheck all rules in there for a test if you can’t find the rule.
Now if you can’t find any rules in there causing it, and disabling all rules in eM Client for a test made no difference either, then if you have an eg: IMAP, Exchange, Office 365 or iCloud (non POP) account, go online to your mailbox via a browser and look for any filters or rules setup there.
As could be a server mailbox rule or filter setup set to automatically move messages to a folder, which will then in turn “mirror that move to the same folder in eM Client”.
I did check the rules and there was one regarding spam. I did not put it there, so I deleted it. It worked, as now all mail goes to my name and not a folder title. Thank you for your help.
