macOS integration / Services menu / Save dialog

Hello,
I am pleased about the continuous further development of eM Client. Here is another wish for the further development of eM Client:

Many macOS applications offer system-wide functions via the “Services” menu, which can usually be found under the first menu item below the app name or in the context menu. However, if eM Client is activated, the Services menu is missing.
Services could be

  • Self-created shortcuts
  • Transferring selected text (and graphics) to other applications
  • Search for selected text in search engines or other applications
  • etc.

I don’t know how easy it is to activate the Services menu. But all my other Mac applications support this. So I hope it’s not that complicated.

Also, it would be great if eM Client could support the Services menu more actively to offer custom services, e.g. “create a new email with the selected text” or “create a new email with the selected file as attachment” or “search for the selected text in eM Client”…

Another problem is that my text expansion app Typinator does not work in eM Client save dialogs. I have a keyboard shortcut to create the current date, which I like to use in save dialogs to name my files with the current date. But this does not work in eM Client. Fortunately, using the text expansion in emails works.

Thank you for looking into these suggestions.

Best Wishes
Jan
