Hello,
I have a little problem with the notifications on one my Macs. When I am getting a notification from my calendar, I see the built in emClient notification dialoge. I want to change it to use the system notifications of macOS.
When I am going to the settings → general → notifications, I dont see the option “Use system notifications box”.
The version of my client is 9.2.2144
When I am getting a notification from my calendar, I see the built in emClient notification dialoge. I want to change it to use the system notifications of macOS.
I am also “not able to get Calendar event OS system notification banners & system alerts on Mac directly” due to eg: I suspect because eM Client “does not appear as a notification option to select in the Mac OS / Settings / Notifications / Calendar section” to then enable the notification banners etc.
Only the built in Mac Calendar appears in that section to enable system calendar event notifications. If it however should still work, then its a bug as it doesn’t seem to using even the latest Sonoma OS.
The eM Client Mac OS / Settings / Notifications / eM Client section where "you do enable Badges,Sounds & Banners “only seems to work for New Mail Notifications”. It doesn’t seem to do anything for Calendar event notifications.
So for Calendar event notifications atm in eM Client, (when eM Client is minimised) “I just listen for the eM Client event sound alerts” & then “tab around using the keys” to see the event notifications window.
However if i forget to turn on my speakers in the morning or its late at night and my speakers are turned off so i don’t wake up the family, i miss the Calendar event notifications. So would be good to be able to get the Calendar events working with OS Banners to avoid always having my speakers on & tabbing.
When I am going to the settings → general → notifications, I dont see the option “Use system notifications box”.
The eM Client “Use system notification box” option also doesn’t appear in my eM Client for Mac version either. I don’t think its supposed to, as normally on a Mac you set those in the Mac OS Notifications Settings rather than in eM Client. Might need an eM Client update to fix this.
Thank you for your answer, cyberzork.
At least now I know, that I am not alone.
