I keep getting an m:ResponseCode error code when I send messages. How do I stop it?
Hi, can you please make a screenshot of this issue?
What mail service are you using and what version of eM Client are you using?
Thank you,
Paul.
Hi Paul
Thanks for getting abck to me - the message I receive is this:
Sending email failed with an error: An element node ‘m:ResponseCode’ of the type Element was expected, but node types of Element was found.
I use SmarterMail and I have just downloaed the fee eM version, although I think the Pro version may be running as a free trial.
Best wishes
Martin
This is now happening when I receive emails as well
Hi again, can you really just make a screenshot of the error when you receive it?
Also switch to the Log tab in the operations window when the error occurs and copy the content of the log and send it to us as well.
Thank you,
Paul.
Hi Paul
Sorry - the app now won’t open at all! It says an error has occurred and just shuts itself down when I try and open it.
Hi again, can you display the error? Can you make a screenshot of the issue? The error from the report window would be useful as well.
Thank you,
Paul.
Thanks - how do I make a screenshot? It’s difficult as the app shuts itself down as soon as I start it up.
You can use the print screen button if it’s so fast, and than just use ctrl+v in ms paint.
And save the image.
Hope this helps,
Paul.
Hi,
Im with the same problem, the server it’s smartermail.
Hi Sergio, unfortunately this seems to be a server issue with SmarterMail, but can you please go to Tools > Settings > Advanced and turn on EWS logging for the problematic account?
- Save the settings
- Restart the application
- Replicate the issue
When the issue occurs go back to the advanced settings window and click on “Send logs” and send the logs to [email protected] with a reference link to this forum topic.
Thank you,
Paul.
