Lost e-mails

Hello,
I’m using EM Client since last week - a free license, POP3. I lost a lot of time while customize, import contacts, etc. Then I did backup… All my emails, contacts, folders and everything is gone. I have very important emails, which I can’t restore. When I try to restore the backup nothing happens. The worst is that eM Client download all my emails from the web base of my e-mail. Help me please. I need my correspondence.

Hi Snejana, what version of eM Client are you currently using? Do you still have access to the original emails or did you try to restore your backup in a new installation or setup?
What mail service are you using in the application?

My version of eM Client is 6.0.20990.0. I don’t have have access to the original emails because, as I said before, eM Client download and delete all my e-mails from the web. My email use POP3.  I tried to restore the backup file, then I re-instal the eM Client and tried to restore the backup file again, then install eM Client to different computer and tried to restore copied backup file - and again NOTHING. I have file “mail_data” almost 2 GB, but I cant open it. BTW the the whole back-up file is 130 KB. Is this possible?

Hi again Snejana, I’m not completely sure if I understand the situation, Where do you have the “mail_data.dat” file stored, have you been able to extract this file from your backup?
If your backup file has only 130KB, this would probably mean the backup file might be corrupt, could you send me the file attached to my email [email protected] with a reference link to this forum topic?
