lost all my contacts and sub folders when backing up to a new location

used the online live chat today to back up my emails (including sub folders) and contacts to an external hard drive. re designated the save to folder, but when returned to use EM all emails and contacts have gone. I think the EM just needs to be pointed back to the original storage folder on my lap top - but where is this?

the original location (on Windows 8) for the data files of eM Client is:

C:\users<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\eM Client
