Loss of access to orange.fr email account

For two days I have been unable to access my orange account via e m client but can access my hotmail account. The password for my orange account is correct as it works if I access orange via their website. Could someone please help me to sort this out. Thank you. Chris

If you haven’t changed any Orange mail settings in eM Client, then it could be 3 things

1). There might be a mail server outage at Orange so giving you that error.

2). Could be the Orange mail server might have changed mail server settings or authentication.

3). Could be there is a physical connection problem along the way from your ISP to Orange Mail server so you get the connection error.

So first thing is to contact Orange technical support (if you haven’t already) and see if they have any current mail server outages.

Also verify the server settings with the technical support at Orange (to make sure they haven’t changed anything) recently.

Also make sure (you can access your mailbox via their webmail GUI) in case it has a problem.

Apart from if there is no Orange Outages, and you have the correct mail settings, and you can login to webmail ok, then we would need the actual error message or error messages in eM Client Operations log. To do that, click the Dropdown arrow on the right of Refresh at the top left and click “Show Operations”. Then click the “Log tab” and look for any obvious error messages and paste them in this thread.

Note: Blank out anything personal in the error.

I have tried to attach the log but it won’t let me because of more than 2 threads. Hope someone can help me! Chris

Maybe then in 24 hours you will be able to post another reply in this thread with the errors from the log.
