Hi everyone. Using 2 different browsers (Edge and Chrome) for different purposes (personal and business) makes it hard to use eM Client when trying to open links. I was using one browser with 2 profiles so whenever I was clicking a link, the last highlighted profile would open the link.
Now that for some reason I had to use 2 different browsers, eM Client always uses the default one. This is very annoying and I was wondering if there is any kind of setting or workaround so that eM Client uses the last used browser.
Thank you in advance.
eM Client always uses the default one.
The browser that opens when you click url links “is completely controlled by the OS” in the OS Settings. Nothing in eM Client or most mailers im aware off to open a specific browser.
All I can suggest “as you have to use different browsers for different links”, is to either highlight the link and copy and manually paste into the browser you want, or try dragging the link into a browser url address line, or try dragging the link into browser shortcut to open it.
Thank you for the response. When using two profiles of the same browser, the link opens with the one last used. Probably this is not the case with 2 different browsers where as you said, only the default one works.

Yes that’s what should happen, but there is nothing in the OS I’m aware of to allow you to choose which profile to open within the default browser.
You can however according to Google get a eg: Chrome browser plugins or extention “that can prompt you to load whichever profile you want” (on browser startup). So then when you clicked a url in eM Client your default browser would open and ask you which profile to load.
When using one browser with 2 profiles it is easy, the last one used is the one that will open links.
The problem is with 2 browsers, where as you said you have to copy or drg the link to the non-default browser.
Thank you for the responses.

Then the OS needs to have some sort of eg: plugin or modification added to allow you to open / select whatever specific browser you want when you click a url in an email client.
You would need to speak to Microsoft or Apple about that depending on which OS you have.
