Hello,
Is there a setting to force the left pane to never collapse? I’m finding that it auto-collapses frequently and it’s becoming annoying. This is relatively new behavior.
Thank You,
Darren

I agree!
It would be very nice to configure in you want to set the left pane to collapse or not.
Sometimes it is collapsed and some time it’s not.
I have not find any way to configure this behavior.
Best regards
Kjell
Hi Darren, Hi Kjell,
When you refer to the left panel, do you mean the folder list? If so, it can be collapsed by mousing over at the top and clicking on the arrow that appears. I’ve not seen the folder list collapse by itself before, though.
There’s also the message list panel (on the left half, but to the right of the folder list) which shows the previews of the messages. The format of this list can be set to always displaying compact previews, always showing columns (sender, subject, attachments, flags, etc.), or being variable according to the width the user sets by resizing.
Sorry if that’s not actually what you’re seeing and what you’re asking, I’ve not seen this before and so am thinking off the top of my head what it might be.
Almost a year later and it’s still a buggy UI in this regard. Auto collapsing anything without permission is a bad user experience.
Please fix this bug. Please add the ability to PIN the left pane open. I have three 27" monitors and one 36" monitor and do not need silly malfunctioning software toys hiding and unhiding things on my screen to maximize real estate. Thanks.
