Latest Update not working

I received a prompt to update my eM Client. After the installation, I tried to start the application but I receive the following exception message:

Breakpoint: A breakpoint has been reached.

I then downloaded the latest version of eM Client from your website, and selected the “Repair” option. However, that returns the following exception message:

The specified account already exists.

For a ‘repair’? An existing account is a prerequisite for a repair - No?

After that pop-up, the windows remaining shows the following text

"eM Client setup ended prematurely, because of an error. Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run setup again. Click the Finish button to exit setup."

As a result, I am unable to run the application at all.

Please advise.

Fiz todos esses procedimentos e continua não funcionando. É possível voltar a versão anterior?

The only way I was able to fix it was as follows …

1: I renamed the entire folder (eM Client) under a different name. This is where all the settings and data are stored.
e.g. C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\ eM Client ).
2: I completely uninstalled eMClient and then installed the latest version that I downloaded from the eM Client website.
3: Then I restored the name of the folder that I renamed in 1: above, back to ‘eM Client’.

So far, everything seems to be working as it was before.
