Keyboard shortcuts for non-contiguous selection

In Windows File Explorer, you can select multiple non-contiguous ranges and items with keyboard shortcuts. I attempted the same in eM Client, but the same keyboard shortcuts don’t work. Is the following at all possible?

  1. With one item selected, select adjacent items with Shift+Up or Shift+Down
  2. Move to a non-adjacent item with Ctrl+Up or Ctrl+Down (which preserves the initial selection)
  3. Ctrl+Space to select one new item
  4. Ctrl+Shift+Up or Ctrl+Shift+Down to extend the second range or Ctrl+Up or Ctrl+Down to move to a new item.

Thanks!

Might be complicated to program those same keys like that for an email client.

What i do to select multiple non-contiguous ranges, is just “select a range of emails past what i am wanting to select” with the Shift+Up key or Shift+Down key as you do, and then just hold the Ctrl key and then “click emails to deselect what i don’t want in between”.
