Issue importing contacts from Google Contacts to local contacts

I have exported the CSV from Google Contacts as specialized for Outlook and Google, I have also tried vCards. When I import into eM Client as local contacts I get spammed with duplicates and it is showing WAY more contacts than what I see in the CSV file and my Google Contacts list.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Add the Google account to eM Client, then copy the contacts from those folders (1) to Local Folders (2).

Once the contacts have successfully been copied, remove the Google account from eM Client.
