Hi,
Recently, the QQ email service was forced to use SSL encryption, so I changed the setting of SMTP ‘‘port: 465’’ & ‘‘security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)’’ in the eM Client ‘‘Accounts’’ (version: 10.1.4828). However, it cannot service and the diagnosis is SMTP failed.
The screen for the SMTP settings is below.
Kindly respond at your earliest convenience.

Recently, the QQ email service was forced to use SSL encryption, so I changed the setting of SMTP ‘‘port: 465’’ & ‘‘security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy).
From Googling QQ SMTP settings on many websites, that Port and Security Policy setting “looks to be correct”, so we would need to know what actual error message or error messages you are getting when trying to send mail.
Click the dropdown on the right of Refresh and click Show Operations. Then click the Log tab and look for any obvious error messages and paste them in this thread. We might then be able to see why it won’t won’t send.
Also have you contacted QQ technical support to see if they are aware of any problems sending via their mail servers using SSL connections ?

2.I find the inbox email out of synchronization. The difference is below:
- Actually, the QQ mail service is working normally in my iPhone’s mail APP.
Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately I don’t know personally what that specific error means from looking at your Log. Other users on this forum might be able to help with that who use QQ email and eM Client.
I can only suggest to try for the above SMTP screenshot error, to go to “Menu / Accounts” and go to the General Tab and (see if your mail account has an option) to “Save copy of sent messages to “Sent” folder”. If it does as in the example below, “try removing that” and save accounts.

I have encountered the same problem and really need help!
Latest status:
I have encountered a reproducible bug while configuring my QQ email account in eM Client. When I set the SMTP settings as:
- Port: 465
- Security Policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)
the diagnostic tool indicates that SMTP fails with a “Failed” status.
However, despite this failure, I can still receive the “Test Message” in my QQ inbox, and I am able to send emails using QQ mail without any issues.
This seems quite peculiar—while the SMTP diagnostics report a failure, the email functionality itself works perfectly fine.
I hope this information helps in addressing the issue. Let me know if you need any further details!
