Having an issue with Gmail. When sending an email from Gmail using emclient to our other gmail account. They always end up in Spam. Tested this morning using the online account and had no issues.
Sounds like either you have either a "custom local rule setup” to move Gmail emails to the Junkmail folder, or the “Gmail domain is blacklisted” and sending all emails to the Junkmail folder.
So first go to “Menu / Rules” (Pc) or “Menu / Tools / Rules” (Mac) and you can “dblclick on any custom rules” to view them.
If you have eM Client V9, “you can also dblclick the blacklist in Rules” to check if anything set to automatically go to spam.
If you have eM Client V10, the blacklist is via “Menu / Settings (Preferences) / Mail / Blacklist & Whitelist / Manage Blacklist"
Have checked the rules, unable to see any issues and is not on blacklist. Only just happening last week, these gmail acounts have been using for 8 years. Will keep watching if happens again will go online and on gmail, mark as not spam.
Apart from marking the email as Not Junk in Gmail online which yes normally fixes that when there is no rules or blacklist setup eM Client, if it still keeps automatically going to the Gmail junk mail folder, “you can also whitelist the recipient in Gmail online” using a whitelist filter.
Click the Gear icon” at the top right of Gmail online. Then click “See All Settings” and click “Filters and Blocked address’s” along the top.
Then click “Create New Filter” and “type the email address at the top” you want to whitelist.
Then click “Create Filter” at the bottom, and then check the box marked “Never send it to Spam” and finally click “Create Filter”.
Thank you for the information. Will definitely try that.
