initial setup mailaccount does not work

I can not install my mailaccount from using my password that is correct. What should I do?

Are you getting any errors?

Three things you can try:

  1. Make sure IMAP is enabled for your account. You will do that using the web interface for your email provider.

  2. Disable your antivirus application, and then try again.

  3. Go to Menu > Tools > Accounts and check you are using the correct IMAP security policy for the port you have selected. 

Port 993 = Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)
Port 143 = Use SSL/TLS if available

5.7.8 Server Error authentication failed

I seem not to pass it, allthough I have installed it in the secure mode you suggested
