I have 2 eM Client accounts. After upgrade to Ver. 10.0.3266 a few days ago, both Inboxes contain all the files previously received in the separate Inboxes (over 10,000 items). Is there a simple way to sort that out please? I am very frustrated because this app has worked well for me for many years!
During the upgrade, you needed to re-authenticate the credentials for the accounts.
If you entered the same credentials in both web pages, you will have the same mailbox in both account folders in eM Client.
Compare the Inboxes in eM Client to the Inboxes in webmail for those accounts. When you find the one that doesn’t match, remove it from eM Client and add it back again making sure you use the correct credentials…

Yes, Gary. It went wrong when it asked me to authenticate my 2 Sky/Yahoo email accounts. I managed to open the first one in a browser just now, and the contents look OK. The second one, I think Sky must have thought I was setting up a new account and there are only a couple of new emails in the Inbox. Anyway, the second account is of less importance and I think I can afford to lose the emails in that one.
I managed to open both in the web browser, and they look OK, although the second account Inbox has only a few recent ones. If I use the new Outlook email app, both inboxes agree with the browser inboxes, so OK. However eM client still shows a duplicate list of all the a/c 1 inbox in the second a/c Inbox. I would be grateful for suggestions to correct that. Bill
I just tried removing the second Sky email account then added it again, but the procedure did not complete properly, so effectively it has failed.I may have to give up using em client, and I am unhappy about it.

Suggest to then try “clearing your cache completely in your default browser”, and then remove both accounts and then readd them in again.
Failing that “go online to your accounts” and “remove the eM Client OAuth tokens” and the try adding both accounts again.
If that still won’t work, try upgrading to the latest just released V10.0.3351 via the release history page. Close eM Client before updating.
Thank you for the suggestions. However there is so much important stuff in my no. 1 account I dare not risk losing all that. No. 2 account I am willing to dispense with. Thanks anyway, Bill.
If your accounts are IMAP, Exchange, Office 365 or iCloud (Non POP) accounts and nothing in “Local Folders” then you can safely remove those and re-add them “without any loss” as all the messages and message folders are under your account at the mail server end. So they will then all come back when the accounts are re-added. They will just be slower to read till fully cached.
If your accounts are POP accounts, then first create a folder down in Local Folders at the bottom left called eg: Old Mail 1, and then drag / move all your existing 1st POP account messages and any custom message folders under that folder. Then once you are confident all your 1st POP account messages and custom messages folders are under Old Mail 1, then remove your old 1st POP account.
Then re-add your 1st POP account and then once added and working again, drag / move all your existing POP messages and any custom message folders from Old Mail 1 up to the new POP account.
Same goes if your 2nd account is also a POP account. You could create a folder for that account under Local Folders called eg: Old Mail 2 and do exactly the same as advised above.
Lastly before removing your accounts, make a manual backup of eM Client via “Menu / Backup” just incase you need to restore for any reason. You can see when the backup is complete in “Show Operations” via clicking the dropdown on the right of Refresh top left.
Thank you very much. Without following all your steps, both my Sky Yahoo account are behaving themselves in em client, so I can continue to use em client, a good result. Bill
