Using latest version of EMClient (10.0.3530). Windows 10.
The inbox says there are 265 unread emails, but I can only find 58. I have checked all the sub folders including the archive, but there is definitely only 58 unread emails. I note there was similar problem with version 7, but this issue has only occurred very recently. When I noticed it, I installed the latest revision, but this didn’t help.
Expand “Favourites” at the top left and click the “Unread folder” to see all unread messages in all accounts. They should all show in there.
If you don’t see Unread under Favourites, then “Right click on Favourites” and select Unread on the dropdown.
You can then "right click on any of the messages in the Unread folder and click “Properties” at the bottom to see what folder they are in.
Note:- Once messages in the Unread folder have been read and you click to another folder the message will then dissapear from the Unread folder and only show in the original location.
Thanks, I have done that & found them. What I don’t understand is why they are hidden in the inbox, even though the properties say they are in the inbox. see screen shot.
I notice the category is “Promotions”. I don’t know where this category came from, it certainly wsn’t me.

So it does sound like you have V10 Categories enabled being your screenshot shows “Category: Promotions”.
So click on “All Inboxes” Under Favourites at the top left and see if you have a “Promotions” Category Tab along the top of the Message Subjects as in the below Gmail acct example screenshot.
If you do then have Categories, then when you installed or upgraded to V10 “you chose to enable Categories which was the default option”, but that can be changed to suit you or can be disabled as well. See this link as i posted further up the thread on the options you can do.
Thanks cyberzork for your help. All sorted now. Why the latest version had V10 Categories enabled by default is somewhat surprising and I surly can’t be the only one to be confused. Thanks again.
