I have emClient running (Mac, latest app version). Conversations off, Categories off.
Say the current message highlighted in the Inbox is “My current Email”. The detail pane is showing the content of that email.
All fine.
Then new emails arrive…
I would expect to see the Inbox pane automatically scroll to show the new emails (that’s what I’ve been used to).
But nothing happens…
Only if I happen to try to manually scroll up do the new emails appear. That feels wrong?
Same happens even if I close and re-open the app.
It would re-open still with focus on “My current Email” and no clue that new emails had arrived, again unless I happen to try to manuall scroll up.
I can’t believe it’s supposed to work like this - am I missing a setting?

When you first open eM Client it automatically goes to the top of the Inbox or All Inboxes and checks for new mail, but “if you are already in eM Client and click on an email”, it doesn’t automatically scroll to the top when new mail arrives, as is designed to remember what email you had clicked “so you don’t loose where you were up to in the message list”.
However if you want eM Client to automatically scroll to the top when new mail arrives “when you are already in eM Client” and click on the Inbox or All Inboxes, then there is a current Sleekplan suggestion where you can vote for that.
In the meantime you can press the “Home” key on PC (or Mac with the full-size keyboard) to automatically go to the top of the Inbox.
Or on Mac “Fn & left arrow” key to automatically go to the top of the Inbox.
My perfect solution would be: After new mail arrives for focus to remain where it was, but Inbox to be automatically scrolled so the new mail is visible.
(so not quite what that sleepplan is askng for).
