Inbox claims "unread items"

My inbox claims that there are unread items, but there arent’t. I can not get rid of this. Also my favorite “unread items” claims the same number of items, even though the folder is empty.

No, it disappears after restart. It seems to persist only as long as I keep the client open over a longer period, e.g. several days…

Your IMAP logs would provide us more information - could you send it to us? Go to Tools - Settings - Logging and check IMAP under the problematic account. Restart eM CLient, simulate the issue and send us the log using the same window. Thank you.
