I’m coming from WLM, because eM Client seems to most similar to WLM. I really wish there was a way to autoscroll to the top of the inbox. I don’t open and close my email client through out the day, or even during the week.
And unless i either keep hitting HOME or manually scroll to the top i don’t see new emails.
I saw a previous post about it from 2024, but i think it just stopped and didn’t have a resolution.
Has this feature been added since 2024?
When you first open eM Client it automatically goes to the top of the Inbox or All Inboxes and checks for new mail, but “if you are already in eM Client and click on an email”, it doesn’t automatically scroll to the top when new mail arrives, "as is designed to remember what email you had clicked so you don’t loose where you were up to in the message list”.
However if you want eM Client to automatically go to the top when new mail arrives “when you are already in eM Client”, then there is a current Sleekplan suggestion to eg: “click on the mailbox to automatically to to the top”, where you can vote for that if that would work for you.
Otherwise as you found out already, press the “Home” key on PC or “Home” key on Mac (if you have a full-size Mac keyboard) to automatically go to the top of the Inbox or All Inboxes.
Or on Mac “Fn & left arrow” key to automatically go to the top of the Inbox if you have no Home key on a smaller Mac keyboard.
No sure how much different click on INBOX is over pressing the HOME key. Really hoping for a toggle on/off switch so people that prefer the autoscroll have that option.
