I have been unable to send emails for a week having, apparently, exceeded my limit. However, I am told not to worry and that I’ll be able to send emails soon. How long is soon and is there any way around this?
Hi Bill, the eM Client app does not set any limits on sending emails.
But a limit might be set by your email provider, possibly specifically for the SMTP protocol. Have you tried reaching out to the provider of your email account about this?
Signing in via Virgin Media it reports that I have used 182 MB of 25GB so that shouldn’t be the source of the problem. I cleared out thousands of old emails to see if that would help but to no avail. I was able to send a very short “Test” email (to myself) but sending to a group or with an attachment resulted in the error message I previously encountered regarding my limit having been reached.
Hi Bill, Storage limits and Sending limits would usually not be the same thing, that is why I mentioned the limit could be specific for SMTP protocol.
Can you perhaps copy the full error message here or include an image of it?
Hi Olivia - My email now appears to be working again, even when I include attachments so (thankfully) I am unable to generate the error message I received previously. I really appreciate the time you have given trying to help and I will certainly revert again should the same error message turn up again. Many thanks, Bill
