Improving the Error Message when Deleting Calendar Events

When deleting calendar events, the below error messages are stored in the Trash folder.

Retrieval using the IMAP4 protocol failed for the following message

The server couldn’t retrieve the following message:

Subject: “Test 02”
Sent date: 3/23/2023 2:14:04 PM

The message hasn’t been deleted. You might be able to view it using either Outlook or Outlook Web App. You can also contact the sender to find out what the message says.

Although I would imagine this issue is cause by, it would be helpful if eM Client was able to display a more user friendly error message when a user deletes calendar events, because as it is users will think there’s a problem.


This is an email that your provider sent you. You would need to ask Microsoft ( to adjust it, if the wording is not clear.
