Importing v6 Folders Into v7 Fails -SOLVED!

Solved my own problem.

On a hunch I extracted my v6 backup to a DIFFERENT folder and imported from there…and it worked!  Seems that in my case v7 didn’t like having the v6 db in the default location.

Installed v7.0.26482.0 and while importing from v6.0.24928 got error message:

     Version 6

  Operation Failed:
  Value cannot be null.
  Parameter name: mail.Structure

After starting v7, everything seems to be there except the actual messages.  Folder structure is correct, just no messages, so I tried importing just the Local Folders and get the same error.

Anyone???

Hello John,
I am unsure about your post - is your issue solved? Have you moved the Backup files or the actual database files?

Hi Olivia,

After getting the error above multiple times when installing over v6, I uninstalled v6 & v7 both.
I extracted my last v6 backup to a folder on my Desktop.  
When I reinstalled v7, I imported my v6 from the folder on my Desktop.  
This completed with no errors.
