Imported email created imap instead of pop account. can't change it

I had to switch from using MS Outlook as an e-mail client to an alternative.

I investigated and found that eM Client was able to import my e-mails from Outlook. I downloaded the programme and did the import successfully.

However, there was one snag. In Outlook I had two folders for my e-mail address. The one was Imap, which I used initially created in error, once i realised my error I switched it to POP. I then continued using the POP folder as my primary. However, when i imported from Outlook to eM Client it imported the Imap as the primary and there is nowhere on the setting to change imap to POP.

I subsequently imported the POP folder as a local folder but that is now just sitting there, i cannot send from it or receive to it. The new e-mails are still being downloaded into the imap folder.

How can I change the imap to pop, please??

Alternatively, would it help if I delete eM Client.

Then delete the imap folder in Outlook.

Then reinstall eM Client and then retry the import?

You cannot change the protocol for the account, but you can just add the account again in Menu>Accounts.
Click Add account.
Instead of Automatic setup, use Mail > Other and here you can specify that you want to use POP instead of IMAP and setup your account.
