**A WARNING & REMINDER**
At the moment I have no idea why, however, after a Microsoft
update of the files in the below image
returned eMC to a first clean install. Fortunately as always I
ran a Backup prior to this MS Update so noting was lost.
BE CAREFUL
if you are using POP3 you could lose everything with IMAP you
should be able to recover whatever is still on the server.
You will lose your eMC configuration unless you have BACKUP

**ADDENDUM**
After further investigation the error was NOT with Windows update
it was caused by the eMC manual update to:
v 10.4.5326.0 from: v 10.4.5298.0 with eMC shutdown
For years we have run eMC with a different database storage location
from the default which is shown at: Menu>Settings>General>Storage
For some unknown reason the eMC update install decided to revert to
the default storage location by obviously not detecting a previous eMC
installation and the upgrade was in fact treated as a clean install
ignoring my changed database location and not causing a corruption to
the database created a new database at default.
The eMC update was carried as it has always been.
I confirmed this on another PC with identical setup, before running
the Windows update, the result was the same and was to the default
database location.
Not a particularly big issue, more of a nuisance that needs fixing,
providing you have backup and presumably only causes an issue if the
database has been moved.
