I am an eM Client partner and install eM Client for many of my clients. I have developed a specific configuration of eM Client settings that works well for 99% of my clients.
I have saved my customized theme to an eM Client theme (theme.emtheme) and my customized configuration settings to an eM Client settings file (settings.xml).
I usually install eM Client them immediately import the customized theme and settings files to save having to manually configure each installation, then set up the email accounts and any other specific settings required by my clients.
However, since eM Client v9.x, I have noticed that when I import my customized settings file, it no longer seems to import any of the customized toolbar settings I have made (added or removed buttons etc.) and I therefore have to manually customize these setting for every installation I do.
I find this quite frustrating, as it was a great time saver and I could ensure that all installations started with the same configuration.
Has any one else noticed this behaviour or know of a way to get it working again?
The settings.xml will have all the items in Menu > Settings that have changed from the default setting.
Toolbar buttons are not part of that. Sorry.

Is this also the same for when you (restore an eM Client backup) ?, where I find using the Mac version of eM Client, everything restores ok except for the toolbar icons prev setup in eM Client for Windows.
Or should restoring an eM Client backup also restore the toolbar customized icons.
In my case, yes, restoring a backup in eM Client in Windows does restore the toolbar customisations.

Ok cool .
Sounds like then maybe a Mac eM Client problem then when you restore from a Windows eM Client backup.zip file that then doesn’t restore the toolbar items & only has default toolbar. Maybe the toolbar part of the restore is different on Mac than the PC or is a bug.
