Got a crashed System from a customer and was able to at least read the .dat files from the eMClient folder under "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\eMClient location. Now I’m trying to import the customers contacts into eMClient on his new computer using these files. Is there any way to use these .dat files to restore the customers contacts ?
You can copy the recovered C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\eM Client\ folder and it’s contents across. eM Client needs to be closed for you to do that. If the system crashed with eM Client running, or eM Client was not closed properly before the crash, then you will need all the files not just the .dat files. So best just to do that anyway.
If the contacts were synced then obviously you don’t need to do anything except add the same account to the new installation.
