IMAP not enabled on account

I am trying to set up an e-mail account in eM Client for an address on a GoDaddy-provided domain. I keep getting the message: “Cannot open folder [the e-mail account] ALERT Full IMAP support is NOT enabled for this account)” What does this mean and how is it fixed? The “enable” boxes are both checked.
