Imap failing with exchange

imap is failing with exchange server (this is not office365 nor outlook.com). No folders nor emails load. Diagnostics says imap and smtp work. SMTP sends test email fine. Another person with same server works fine for them with same server settings (different email account).
I’m seeing BYE Connection closed. 14 in the log (operations dialog)

Here is the complete Operations Log output:

Check your ports are normal email ports
Does emClient start automatically with windows ? if so, disable
Does your computer go to Sleep and is the problem after that ?

This is a server error. It probably means that the server admin has not enabled SSL certificates for IMAP.

I’ve checked all the ports and tried different ports and none resolve this issue. The same ports that work in other email clients are being used in Em and I get this issue.

I agree that it could be something on the server at this point. Thunderbird is the only other client that has an issue but it actually gets the folders and emails within subfolders before returning an error 15 (instead of Em’s error 14). Outlook works fine, Mail on iOS/MacOS works fine. I’m resigned to just not using Em for my exchange email as I’m going to be checking it less now and will just have it on my phone. Unfortunate but not worth my time troubleshooting further. Thank you to those that replied with suggestions.

As it is an Exchange server, why not just use Exchange?

It should be done if you use the Automatic Setup, but if not add the account as Mail > Exchange.

Actually, i got this method to work finally (using Mail > Exchange)! Thank you Gary! I had only put my username as the username in one field instead full @domain username and that resolved it.
