Apple recently offered me to turn on two factor authentification for iCloud (probably while I was restoring iPhone). After I did that, EM Client could no longer authenticate on/sign to Apple iCloud servers.

So do not use iCloud two factor authentification if you intend to use iCloud with EM client.

Hello Gorlock,
you can use iCloud accounts with 2-factor authentication in eM Client, you just need to generate an App-specific password for it, just like with google accounts.
