Thanks - worked fine. And thanks Harry for the online Q&A
I had the same problem as I posted in this thread - https://discourse.emclient.com/emclient/to…
Having read this I’ve followed the advice, installed the patch, but I’m still getting the same issue with the “Server says unauthorised” message I was having previously.
I am running eM Client 5.0.19355.0 having re-installed it on my machine this morning, then I installed the patch, but no joy. I am running Windows 7 SP1 with all the latest updates installed as of today (November 22).
So it seems to be working for some people but not for others - how frustrating!
There is another new version http://www.emclient.com/dist/v5.0.194…
If this will not help you then I will need your CalDAV logs from iCloud, Tools - Settings - Advanced, check CalDAV under your iCloud account, apply and restart eM Client.
then try to synchronize and after your issue reappear then send logs to [email protected] together with this (or your previous topic’s) url in subject.
then you can turn logging off.

I had this same problem and it was fixed with 5.0.19355.0
thank you for your update on your issue

It doesn’t work for me. The error message “Server says unauthorized” always pops up, if I try to install the icloud calendar account (I don’t use an Apple email address as the apple-id, but that works perfectly if I log on via icloud.com).
Yesterday I switched to eM Client version 6.019714.0 - no luck…
Until November everything worked perfectly.
Are there any options?
Ruediger
go to Tools - Accounts - your iAccount - IMAP tab and look if “enable service” is checked or unchecked, it should be uncheck for your purposes.
JAn
no success
“enable service” on the IMAP tab is unchecked, but I still got the error message…

hmm, do you try to authenticate with your icloud email or username? I remember having same issue with my (non apple email) account in a past.
Sorry, I don’t understand this. I try to use my Apple-ID which is a non Apple email address. I never got a decent username… (imho)
I am new to eM Client and have installed 6.019714.0. My Apple ID is a non Apple email address. This is what I have in both calendar and contact account settings for credentials. My iCloud contacts work great but calendar gets the same authenticate error identified above. If I uncheck the calendar tab “Enable Service”, the error stops and contacts still work.
Am I missing something? Why doesn’t calendar work with the same credentials?
Doug
I am also running version 6.0.19714.0 having been using previous versions and had this same problem since it arose in October.
I have two Apple iCloud e-mail accounts running on eM Client. This issue about the server saying it was unauthorized arose on one of the accounts so I transferred my calendar entries over to my other account, and eM Client accesses and syncs them without any problems.
So the problem comes on one account but not the other, which is very odd to say the least.
Slowly it already irritates.
The same problem here, version 6.0.19714.0-Pro / win 8.1 (64 Bit)
My iCloud contacts works but calendar and tasks have the same authenticate issue as above.
Is there no solution? As ProUser I want a functioning product and not a ‘Alpha-Beta-Patch’ version.
Hi, if you are pro user you should use our pro user’s support you will get faster and guaranteed response there http://support.emclient.com/
Anyway because this is new issue to us (it is something different than original issue from this topic, it will take a while until we will know a lot about this.
Of course if you want you can continue to solve this issue with me, if you will choose so, then I will need your CalDAV and CardDAV logs, go to tools - settings - advanced, check CalDAV and CardDAV under your account, apply and restart eM Client.
Simulate steps that leads to your issue and after that send logs… to [email protected] together with this topic’s URL in subject.
then you can turn logging off.

Excuse me, but shortly after my post everything worked correctly, without having changed anything. Unfortunately I’m still haven’t gotten to report this also. Nevertheless, thank you very much for the quick response. This confirmed me the purchase of emClient was the right decision.
best regards
