I just set up my email with eM client and I constantly have a slow turning circle beside my email address

why do I have a constant slow moving circle beside my email address in box?

That means the email account is being synchronized with the server. If there a lot of messages in the folders it may take some time to initially complete the sync.

thanks.  It has been 18 hours though?  I also have one message that was a “failed send” a couple of weeks ago and it seems to be stuck.  I can’t delete it on the new email account.     

You can check in the Outbox to see if the message is stuck there. It may be in Local Folders Outbox, so check there as well. If you can’t see the Local Folders, you can enable them in Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Show Local Folders.
