The element folder is write-protected
That could mean you are trying to save the contact in a “Read only” contact folder such as eg: Google Other contacts.
So when you click contacts at the bottom left of eM Client, make sure your are clicked on mthe word “Contacts” directly under your email address when you create or edit the contact.
