I get this error "[AUTH] Username and password not accepted."

Hello,
I keep getting this error “[AUTH] Username and password not accepted.” with my pop3 configuration to gmail account. I tested the username and password in gmail and work OK
I also check the pop3 configuration and smtp without suscess.
I upgraded emclient to the latest version. Does anybody have aclue on what is happening?

First open your web browser and make sure you have enabled POP3 for your GMail account.

Then go to eM Client and in Menu > Tools > Accounts check you have the correct settings.

On the POP3 tab the port should be 995 and the security policy as above.

On the SMTP tab the port should be 587 and the security policy as above.

See if that helps.

If that still does not help, disable your anti-virus application and try again.

If you are still getting authentication errors, open your web browser and go to your Google Settings > Security. Make sure to enable/allow less secure apps.

I really apreciate your help as the issue was the security setting in google for less secure apps.
I changed to allow less secure apps and it worked suscessfully.
