I can't sync my mail box

Hey there, pls excuse my english I’m from Germany. :smiley:

I have a problem with the synchronization of my mail box. No new mails appear in the mailbox.
There’s a red triangle next to my email address. This says:
The connection attempt failed.
But I don’t understand it because I never changed any settings since last time I used the program.

In the interim try turning off your AntiVirus app, VPN to see if that helps

If you have not changed any settings, it could also be temporary problem on the server.

I have the new update and I mean the snycing with the server, not with any other email host.

The server question was not the only thing mentioned in my response to you… please re-read it…

Welche Version von eM Client benutzt du? Das steht in Menü > Hilfe > Über.
Welchen E-Mail-Provider hast du? gmail.com, gmx.de, web.de, t-online.de,…?
Benutzt du ein Antivirusprogramm?
Mit dieser Info können Al oder ich oder andere dir vielleicht helfen. :slight_smile:

Also ich habe Version 8.1.876. Als Provider habe ich nur dieses Mailprogramm kein anderes. Also es wird mit einem privaten Server synchronisiert.
Antivirusprogramm habe ich keins.

Go to Menu > Accounts and check your IMAP settings.

You need to have one of the following combinations of port and security policy:

Port 993 = Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)
Port 143 = Use SSL/TLS if available
