I am using eM Client free. Have to enter the activation key everytime I start the program. Does not remember the key.

That could happen if you are using the same Free License activation key on more than one computer. Unfortunately a Free License is limited to a single computer. You can, however, register an additional Free License using another email address, and use that to activate the second computer.
