Periodically I get an email message in HTML format that is not displayed in the inbox - I can view the sourcecode but the reading area stays empty. In Thunderbird the mail is displayed correctly.
Strange enough, if I forward this message, the “text-only” version is displayed in the content area of the forwarding mail (together with some strange HTML-tags included like: http://www.schieb.de/730148>;
And switching to the HTML version the content still displays…
Click and send: the content is still displayed if I look up the sent mail in the “sent” folder!
Only the inbox refuses to show the contents of this email.
emClient Version is: 6.0.21034.0
OS is Windows 8.1 (64bit)
Hi, can you please try to update your eM Client to this release and check if the issue persists? http://www.emclient.com/dist/v6.0.21372/setup.msi
Thank you,
Paul
Hi, Paul, and thank you for your reply.
I updated emClient by using your link, but unfortunately the issue still persists…
Saved as an .eml-file the content stays invisible.
Only forwarding (or replying to) the mail shows the contents: in the editor as well as in the sent-folder AND in the inbox of emClient (showing the received forwarded mail to my alternative mail address).
Well, I could send you the respective eml file for testing - or do a workaround by setting up a rule to automatically forward those mails from that newsletter - but I assume that is not the way it is meant to solve a (small) problem like this.
Hi again, please submit the .eml file to my email mcgregor@emclient along with a reference link to this forum topic.
Thank you,
Paul
