How to tell gmail to archive mail after downloading

Is there a setting to tell gmail to archive new mail once downloaded to eM Client?

Hello Sam,
you can do this is you have Gmail setup as POP.
Go to Gmail’s web interface, Settings>Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
Under When messages are accessed with POP setting just choose the Archive Gmail’s copy option.

If you have your account setup as IMAP, you cannot do this, as your messages are being synchronized. So moving it to Archive on the server would archive eM Client’s copy as well.

Olivia

Thanks, Olivia.

This solution together with your solution for creating a gmail POP account solved my problem.
