How to send images as a attachments, not inline

I would like to see all files being send als attachments, no images should display inline in my html msgs.
How can I fix the default behaviour?

It may be this: Drag image to body of message = inline, drag to header area = attached.

That works - thank you!

(It should be mentioned in the help to this topic.

The normal way to add attachments, is by clicking on the attachment icon.

Came here from Google because I had the same question, but I HAD to subscribe to answer to Gary…

Man, every help forum on every software on the planet always has these smart asses who want to tell you of the “normal” or “correct” way to use the software without even trying to understand the poster’s situation…

I’ll tell you, Gary, when you’ve been working on dozens of different projects, all in different folders on your PC, and these folders are already opened on your desktop (because you’re working in the folders, right), the “normal” way to add attachments is to select the multiple files you want to send in the folders that are already opened on your desktop and to drag them to the email you’re composing… NOT clicking the paper clip several times and navigating each time to the various folders where your files are located.

But I guess you don’t understand that, because you’re that guy who can’t understand users’ needs and just try to tell them the “correct” way to use the software.

Thanks pstrisik for correct answer.

Agree with @Gary that the normal default way to add attachments using any email client, is via the default paperclip icon. That’s been the norm for years since mail clients first came out.

Dragging attachments to the eg: subject line area or body area etc as @pstrisik advised “is normally more for advanced users” who juggle multiple windows compared to very basic computers users who normally only just open the Mail client and nothing else so they use the paperclip attach icon.

So in my view Gary was correct in saying the normal way is to use the default paperclip icon.

Bro, OP is clearly talking about dragging and dropping, since he says that the images are added inline… So why just troll and talk about something that is totally out of context and not helpful at all to OP, when there actually IS a way to drag and drop without adding inline?
