The first account is Microsoft Outlook, second is Google Gmail. It seems eM Client fetches hidden system groups that are not visible in native Microsoft and Google apps, e.g. “Teams+samsung-SM-S928B (contacts)” from Outlook or “Other Contacts” from Gmail.
I want to keep my contact groups clean and organized. I know I can Delete them, but this action deletes the Category (Outlook) or Label (Gmail) from server. I want to only hide unwanted system or custom groups.
You can hide top-level folders by right-clicking them and selecting Hide (which moves them under a collapsed More section).
However, the Hide option is not available for subfolders or labels. As a workaround, you can simply click the small arrow next to the checkbox to collapse the subfolder list.
For Google accounts: All your Google contacts are stored in All Contacts, and the subfolders listed underneath are just labels, so you don’t need to look inside those to see all your contacts.
Thanks, but it’s still a shame you can’t hide certain unnecessary groups.
For example, in my Google account, there’s a subfolder “Contacts” in folder “All Contacts”, this subfolder is on the same level as my Google labels. I suppose “Contacts” is the hidden system label in Google or whatever, same as “Teams+samsung-SM-S928B (contacts)”, but I don’t need to know Google hidden label structure.
It would be more intuitive if the behavior was the same as the native Microsoft and Google services, or at least if users could create a similar experience themselves.
E.g.
“Your Google account” (user can check or unchek it)
├─ “Custom label 1” (user can check or unchek it)
└─ “Custom label 2” (user can check or unchek it)
“Your Microsoft account” (user can check or unchek it)
├─ “Custom category 1” (user can check or unchek it)
└─ “Custom category 2” (user can check or unchek it)
Without current complicated tree with folders, subfolders, hidden system folders, or with ability to disable it.
It would be cool if you at least discussed this feature, maybe I can fill out a feature request somewhere.
But maybe that’s just me complaining; your service is already a great help!
